Forest School

Welcome to the Sebright Forest School!

Mr Hamlin, who is a Level 3 trained Forest School Leader, holds Forest School sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. This year we have started sessions at our developing Forest School site in our very own Sebright grounds! We are rewilding a patch just behind our traditional British Hedgerow and brand new vegetable garden.

In the spring term 2023, Year 1 will have their sessions on a Tuesday afternoon. Each class will have their session on alternate weeks.

Daisy Class: Tuesday 10th January / Tuesday 24th January / Tuesday 21st February / Tuesday 7th March / Tuesday 21st March / Tuesday 28th March (PM)

Marigold Class: Tuesday 17th January / Tuesday 31st January / Tuesday 7th February / Tuesday 28th February / Tuesday 14th March / Tuesday 28th March (AM)

A KS2 focus group will have their sessions on a Wednesday.  These children and parents will be notified separately.

We also have our Forest School After School Club run by Mr Hart, the Sebright Gardener who is also a Level 3 trained Forest School Leader. Please speak to the school office about availability and booking a place.

Please ensure that your child has the following clothing to change into each session:

  • Outdoor shoes – walking boots, wellingtons or old pair of trainers
  • Warm socks
  • A warm waterproof coat
  • School jumper or fleece
  • School t-shirt
  • Trousers
  • Waterproof over-trousers if possible
  • An extra layer of clothing depending on the weather

You may leave these items at school and will be sent home when they get too muddy!
