Forest School

Welcome to the Sebright Forest School!

Mr Hamlin, who is a Level 3 trained Forest School Leader, holds Forest School sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. This year we have started sessions at our developing Forest School site in our very own Sebright grounds! We are rewilding a patch just behind our traditional British Hedgerow we planted around 10 years ago.

In the Autumn term, a selection of children from across KS2 (also known as The Forest School All Stars!) will have their sessions on Tuesday. Year 1 will be having sessions on a Wednesday and each class will alternate their classes each week.

Please ensure that your child has the following clothing to change into each session:

  • Outdoor shoes – walking boots, wellingtons or old pair of trainers
  • Warm socks
  • A warm coat – preferably waterproof
  • School jumper or fleece
  • School t-shirt
  • Trousers
  • Waterproof over-trousers if possible
  • An extra layer of clothing depending on the weather

You may leave these items at school and will be sent home when they get too muddy!

Forest School is a very popular activity and children have the opportunity to apply for a place using their own skills of persuasive writing! Please speak to Mr Hamlin for an application form and further details.
